Deep down I knew I could serve everyone better and have greater impact on my pupils by focusing on teaching art. When my daughter was young and I had changed to part-time class teacher but the hours seemed to remain full-time: The Art Bee was born. I decided now was the time for a leap of (artistic) faith into self-employment…
Fast forward a handful of years and The Art Bee provides a range of art tuition services to schools for both pupils and staff. We run bespoke one-off projects, ongoing contracts (usually tied in to cover staff PPA) and pretty much anything creative to benefit your team and your pupils.
Over the years The Art Bee Club (our after school art club) has become the most popular service and I am regularly blown away by not just the demand but by all the amazing feedback from parents, teachers and especially by the creativity of the children! Have a look on the link below…

Emma Penfold
Art Bee Teacher
Emma similarly had a long standing primary school teaching career then also found working as a part-time class teacher just a bit too much of a full time job when her son was very young.
It was a match made in heaven when we managed to bring Emma into the Art Bee. She brings a wealth of experience not only as a class teacher but her specialist expertise in Design Technology compliment my art background and knowledge for the benefit of the children we have the pleasure to teach.
Emma also works in her previous school too as their reading specialist, so a perfect balance has been reached.
We have since doubled the size of The Art Bee Clubs and are now able to impact more children with a wider range of topics and crafts.
